Eton

Eton

Founded in 1440 by King Henry VI, Eton College is possibly the most famous school in the world, educating 19 of Britain's Prime Ministers as well as countless other world statesmen. In addition to academia it is well known for its emphasis on sports, developing several sports almost unique to the school including the Field, and Wall Games which are precursors of football and rugby. Its rowing lake at Dorney played host to the 2012 London Olympics rowing, canoe and kayak events.
