    Alexis Dahan

French artist Alexis Dahan never fails to look anything short of stylish, and his outfit at the recent party celebrating the launch of the Derek Blasberg/Opening Ceremony stationary collaboration was no exception; sporting black slim-fit jeans, a white t-shirt and navy knitted cardigan, Dahan effortlessly toed the line between geek and chic (how do the French ALWAYS get it right?). Emulate his look the Smart Turnout way with our Blue Stripe Cardiagan, now only £62.30 in our end of year sale:

  • Sports Personality of the Year 2012

Last night saw the cream of British sporting talent gather at London's Excel Centre for the 2012 Sports Personality of the Year Awards. Among the contenders were Olympic heroes Mo Farah and Jessica Ennis, as well as tennis star Andy Murray. But it was super-cyclist Bradley Wiggins who walked away with the gong (presented by the Duchess of Cambridge), after an incredible summer which saw him not only take home a 7th Olympic gold medal, but also become the first Englishman to win the Tour de France since its inception in 1903. The self-proclaimed Mod fan looked incredibly sharp as he took to the stage, wearing a custom-made velvet double-breasted suit by Soho tailor Mark Powell, complete with square pocket handkerchief. Gentlemen, take note- not everyone can pull off crushed velvet, but this 60s-inspired cut makes an interesting change from your standard tux, and is guaranteed to set you apart from the crowd this festive season.
