Cirencester

The Royal Agricultural College in Cirencester was the first agricultural college in the English-speaking world, and has since served as a model for similar institutions across the globe. Its motto, Avorum Cultus Pecorumque, is a taken from Virgil’s Georgics, and means “Caring for the fields and the beasts”.
