Royal Marines

Tracing its roots back to 1664, the Royal Marines has been in uninterrupted existence since 1755 and was granted its present title by King George III in 1802. An elite fighting force with a longer period of training than any other regular regiment the Royal Marines have been involved in every major conflict since their inception.
