Felsted

In 1564, Richard Rich, who had gained wealth through Henry VIII’s Dissolution of the Monasteries, founded Felsted School. During the seventeenth century, the school became a central educational establishment for Puritan families, and four of Oliver Cromwell’s sons were taught there.
